13-foot-long sawfish caught on Sanibel

SANIBEL, Fla. — A smalltooth sawfish was accidentally hooked and pulled to shore by three Deltona siblings.

Jason Burke, McKenna Burke and Gabriel Burke were fishing at the Signal Inn on Sanibel the night of Aug. 4 when they encounter the big fish.

According to their Mother Heather Burke, it took about 45 minutes to reel in the fish before it was safety released.
