Authorities search for Fort Myers arcade robber


FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers are searching for the suspect who robbed a Fort Myers arcade Thursday evening.

The robbery happened at Gold Rush Arcade on Cypress Lake Drive around 5:40 p.m., according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said the suspect approached the counter where the arcade owner was sitting. The suspect showed a note to them, demanding for all the cash in the register and nobody will get hurt.

The worker put all the money from the cash register into a shopping bag, while the suspect yelled at them to hurry up.

The arcade owner described the suspect as either a white male or female, short, and wearing a grey hoodie, black pants, and a black beanie, with a face mask on.
