Detectives search for wallet thieves accused of fraud at a Fort Myers Target


FORT MYERS, Fla. — Detectives are looking to identify a trio of thieves who allegedly stole a shopper’s wallet from their purse at a Target store where they would buy a $500 gift card with the victim’s credit card.

According to detectives, the theft occurred on August 20 at the Target located at 13711 S. Tamiami Trail.

The victim didn’t realize their wallet had been stolen from their purse while shopping at Target until they received a text message from their bank that their credit card had been attempted to be used at the Target she was still in.
