Family offers reward for information on fatal Cape Coral hit & run

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Family of a Cape Coral man killed in a hit-and-run crash is offering a cash reward for information that leads to the driver.

52-year-old George Goodrich of Cape Coral was riding along U.S. 41 on February 12. Investigators said a driver hit Goodrich as he was making a left turn onto Littleton Road in North Fort Myers and failed to stop.

A traffic camera on Pine Island Road showed the moments leading up to the crash, but not enough to identify a driver.

Goodrich’s family is now offering a $100,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.

Lee County deputies said the driver faces felony charges for leaving the scene.

Anyone with details on the driver or the incident is asked to report it to Crime Stoppers.
