Florida father and daughter arrested for burning raccoon alive

SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. – A social media video that showed a raccoon being burned alive has led to the arrest of two people.

In the now-deleted video, a woman was seen recording the raccoon as it growled while being trapped inside a dumpster. A second video would show the same woman, now laughing, approaching the dumpster with the animal’s charred remains inside.

The video began to spread through Facebook, leading The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office to open an investigation.

They found Alicia Kincheloe and her father, Roddy Kincheloe, responsible for the animal’s death.

“After one of the most extensive investigations ever conducted by our Agricultural Unit, both are behind bars,” SCSO announced in a facebook post.

Both face a felony charge of aggravated animal cruelty. Alicia faces an additional charge of destroying evidence.
