Food distributions across SWFL to help residents recover from Hurricane Ian ?


As Southwest Florida begins to recover from Hurricane Ian, here’s a list of food distributions that will be happening in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, DeSoto, Hendry, and Glades County. This list will be updated as we receive more information.


The NAACP will be serving hot meals on Sunday at 4224 Michigan Ave (Renaissance senior complex, royal palm across the street after) from 12 p.m.- 1 p.m. The organization is bringing 200 hot meals at a time and also giving out debris removal supplies (shovels, trash bags, etc.) and toiletries in the upcoming days.Mt.Hermon Ministries, Fort Myers serving food on Saturday until 6 pm. Food trucks in Publix Parking Lot at Santa Barbara and Cape Coral Parkway are from Miami cooking up hot meals for free.Two Meatballs in the Kitchen – 1403 Cape Coral Pkwy E, Cape Coral, FL 33904 – Free Food – while supplies lastThe City of Fort Myers has set up a Disaster Recovery Site at the STARS Complex – 2980 Edison Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33916 – Sat. & Sun. 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. A lunch for children will be provided at 1 p.m.First Assembly of God in Fort Myers will be holding a drive through distribution Saturday, October 1. 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 4701 Summerlin Road. Please enter the property off of Colonial Boulevard, as the Summerlin entrance is closed.Sunday, October 2, First Assembly of God in Fort Myers will be doing a church wide targeted relief distribution throughout several surrounding communities. Saturday, October 1. 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Harry Chapin Food Bank will distribute 2,000 cases of bottled water and ready-to-eat meals.Fleamasters Fleamarket – 4135 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Fort Myers. 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Water and food will be distributed.


First Baptist Church of Naples – 3000 Orange Blossom Drive, Naples FL. Saturday, October 1, 2022. 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. East Naples Baptist Church – 1697 Shadowlawn Dr, Naples, FL. Saturday, October 1, 2022. 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

St. Matthew’s House is holding 2 Emergency Response Food Distributions Saturday and two more next week for those in need after Hurricane Ian.

Saturday, October 1st: First Baptist Church of Naples from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.Saturday, October 1st: East Naples Baptist Church 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.Monday, October 3rd: Ocean Church of Cape Coral, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.Wednesday, October 5th: Paradise Sports Complex in Naples 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Meals of Hope will be at East River Park DAILY from 4 p.m. till they run out of serving hot meals.
