LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Golisano Children’s Hospital donated EpiPens that will be distributed to all Lee County schools.

Each school will be provided with two sets. The distribution of the sets started Monday.

Lee Health allows school clinics to provide Epinephrine injections to students in case of severe allergic reactions.

Elementary schools will get two child sets, while middle schools and high schools will each get two adult sets.

The program EPIPEN4SCHOOLS hopes to save lives by improving access to epinephrine in the event of a life-threatening allergic reaction in a school setting.
