Man lying in the road killed after being hit by a car in North Fort Myers


NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — A man was killed early Sunday morning after he was hit by a car while lying down on a North Fort Myers road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), at around 1:07 a.m. a sedan was heading west on Bayline Drive, east of Temple Terrace. A man was laying on the right lane of Bayline Drive, west of Temple Terrace.

The sedan hit the 43-year-old North Fort Myers man. He was pronounced dead at the scene, FHP said.

This crash is an active investigation.
