Motorcyclist dead after crashing into median & traffic sign

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Lee man has been pronounced dead after crashing his motorcycle into a concrete median and a traffic sign.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), on early Saturday morning the 29-year-old man was traveling east on College Parkway when he lost control of his motorcycle while approaching a tight turn.

The man veered off the road and hit a median with a concrete barrier as well as a traffic sign, FHP said.

According to the report, the man was launched from his motorcycle in the crash and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

This crash remains an active investigation.
