Naples beaches’ parking will soon have PayByPhone App option

NAPLES, Fla. — If you visit the beaches in Naples, you can expect things to be a lot easier when paying for parking!

The city just announced the service called the PayByPhone App which is a new way to use your phone for pay for parking!

“It sounds like a great idea. I think anything to make it easier for residents or tourists to access the beach and enjoy the beach is a good thing,” says beach visitor Mark Komanecky.

The service will be available at the two beach locations; Lowdermilk Park and 5th Avenue South.

Once you’re there you will be able to choose from over 230 parking spaces for on-demand parking!

The first thing you’ll want to do is download the app from the App Store.

Then you’ll want to enter your location, along with how long you want to park, then finally how you would like to pay.

Once you’ve paid for your spot, you can select the option to have text messages sent to your phone for reminders before your time is up.

You can also extend your session through text, without having to leave your spot on the sand!

“I think it might take a little while for people to get used to the new technology and new system but I think once people get used to it and understand how to use it I think it will be a good thing for everybody,” says Komanecky.
