Police investigate deadly hit & run in Fort Myers


FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Fort Myers Police Traffic Unit is seeking more information in locating the suspect vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run early Saturday morning.

According to the Fort Myers Police Department (FMPD), at around 3:32 a.m. a person was hit in the area of Highland Avenue and Thomas Street.

Police believe the suspect was in a white Toyota Avalon between the years of 2013-2018. The vehicle has damage to the passenger side and the wheel well liner is missing. The passenger side mirror is damaged and possibly missing, FMPD said.
