FORT MYERS, Fla. — A high school student in Fort Myers was arrested for having a gun in their car while parked on campus.

According to a statement from South Fort Myers High School, an unidentified student was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO). The investigation started after an anonymous tip was submitted to the school.

No students were threatened, according to the statement.

The 3:30 p.m. LCSO press conference that was mentioned in the statement was cancelled, according to South Fort Myers High School.
