Two Lehigh Acres women arrested for multiple 7-Eleven armed robberies

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Two Lehigh Acres women have been arrested in connection to a string of 7-Eleven robberies that occurred last week.

Erica Rayner, 26, and Tamara Thomas, 26, were arrested and have been linked to three robberies over the past month.

Detectives were able to locate the two following a traffic stop on July 28th in the vehicle that was used during the robberies. The car was using stolen a stolen license plate. At the time, Rayner was arrested for six outstanding felonies and Thomas was arrested for possession of marijuana.

After securing a search warrant for a home in Lehigh Acres, Detectives were able to retrieve stolen lottery tickets and the gun used in the robbery.

Both Rayner and Thomas now face three additional charges of robbery with a firearm.

“I’ve been crystal clear,” said Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno. “If you commit a violent crime in Lee County, we’re going to hunt you down, we’re going to track you down and we’re going to throw you in the Marceno Motel.”

On Wednesday, the 7-Eleven at 15261 Convenience Way was robbed just before 4:00am. Rayner and Thomas would point a gun at the clerk and demand cash and lottery tickets.

Then around 4:30am, they would do the same thing and rob the 7-Eleven at 11891 Palm Beach Boulevard.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office also says Rayner and Thomas were responsible for another early morning robbery at the 7-Eleven located at 21850 S. Tamiami Trail in Estero on July 8th.
