Woman accused of lighting gasoline-soaked shirt on fire & throwing it at home


NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — A North Fort Myers woman has been arrested after she allegedly lit a gasoline-soaked t-shirt on fire and threw it at the back door of a home over relationship issues.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), on Sunday night deputies responded to a house fire at 17560 Slater Rd.

Residents of the home told deputies the woman identified as 51-year-old Nicole Sosa became heated over relationship issues, LCSO said.

According to the report, Sosa used a torch to ignite a gasoline-soaked t-shirt into flames before throwing it at the back door of the home.

Sosa fled the scene before returning shortly after, LCSO said.

Sosa faces a charge of arson. She is being held on a $75,000 bond.
